My favorite drink is also the unofficial national drink of Jamaica—which makes it distinctively difficult to find in the States, but worth the     hunt. Ting, a lightly carbonated citrus drink made from Jamaican grapefruit, is the perfect summer thirst-quencher. Its tagline explains it in a nutshell: “Ting – the Jamaican sunshine and cool breeze in a bottle.
I always head to Miss Lily’s in Greenwich Village to pick up a bottle, and by default of its Jamaican roots, feel like I’m on a quick vacation.
