Introducing May’s Guest Editor: Kerry Pieri

This May we’ve tapped Kerry Pieri to share a month in her life—guest blogging her way around New York City. As the features editor of the fashion-forward website, StyleCaster, Kerry is has a jam-packed agenda, and is constantly on the lookout for fun, easy pieces that transition well from work to play. “I’m petite, but I love layering—which can be a problem for me,” she says. “I find that Charlotte’s designs can be layered without drowning me, so I can mix and match different looks without looking like I’m trying too hard.”

The prolific fashion writer skewers the web for style finds and inspirational images before she heads out to shop. “I’m glued to the internet during the day, looking out for the next big news story, and I’m always updating my inspiration board on my StyleCaster profile.” A few of her recent style considerations: “I love finding street style images of Abbey Lee Kershaw,” she says. “And I love Gwyneth Paltrow in Great Expectations. Her look in this movie is basically the basis for mine—it has a 90′s minimal simplicity, and I love to wear green, which is pervasive in the film. Obsessed.” Aside from the 90′s, Kerry also goes further back for style cues. “Jane Birkin is perfect, I love her 70′s-style aesthetic.”

Check back next week for a day in the life of the StyleCaster editor…
